  • Civil Roadway Engineer / Lead Civil Roadway Engineer (Transportation Design)

    Our team is looking for an entry-level or early-career Civil Roadway Engineer to join us and support company growth through a variety of design assignments. Projects will range from roadway and intersection design, complete streets, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and urban and rural roadway reconstruction. This individual will contribute at varying levels of the company with project work in communities that is truly impactful and meaningful.


    We are a collaborative team, aligning our individual experiences and skills to achieve project success for our clients. We’re seeking someone who is excited to contribute to the growth of the company by developing new tools, systems, and processes while working closely with clients, staff, and the public.     Desired Qualifications & Skills:

    • 0-5 years of Roadway or Civil Engineering experience
    • Educational background in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field
    • EIT certification is required; PE certification (or the ability to obtain within 12 months of employment) is a plus
    • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/Geopak, or OpenRoads Designer (ORD) required
    • Knowledge of MnDOT standards and local agency design guidelines is a plus
    • Passion for meaningful work with diversity of thought and inclusion of all
    • Ability to think creatively and demonstrate initiative, with a willingness to learn from challenges
    • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, and reliable with great follow-through

  • Project Manager or Senior Project Manager (Civil Roadway Engineering)

    Our team is looking for a Civil Roadway Project Manager to help lead and grow our expanding roadway and transportation design services. This individual will support our team and take the lead on various roadway and infrastructure projects, while also helping TC2 expand its capabilities in roadway design, complete streets, and multimodal corridor improvements. 


    In this role, you’ll have the support and guidance needed to deliver high-quality projects while mentoring and guiding staff. You’ll manage projects and tasks associated with roadway design, corridor reconstruction, intersection and safety improvements, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and other infrastructure-related functions. We’re seeking someone excited about contributing to the growth of the company by developing new tools, resources, and processes while collaborating with clients, staff, and the public. As we grow, you grow!


    Roles/Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with TC2 leadership to strategically expand roadway engineering services
    • Manage and develop staff while overseeing technical work for complex design projects
    • Lead roadway and infrastructure design from preliminary planning through final construction documents
    • Oversee and prepare technical analysis, reports, and documentation
    • Build and enhance client relationships through communication and project delivery
    • Help expand TC2 capabilities and services as opportunities arise

    Desired Qualifications:

    • 6+ years of relevant Civil Roadway Engineering experience
    • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field
    • PE certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment) required
    • Ability to lead roadway design tasks and manage multidisciplinary projects
    • Strong analytical skills and proven technical writing ability
    • Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills
    • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/Geopak, or OpenRoads Designer (ORD) required
    • Familiarity with roadway design standards (AASHTO, DOT, MUTCD, ADA)
    • Experience with safety-focused design and complete streets concepts a plus

  • Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Director (Traffic Engineering)

    Our team is looking for someone to help manage and grow our expanding traffic engineering services. The individual will support our team and take the lead on various traffic engineering and transportation planning activities, while also expanding TC2’s services in complex traffic simulation, signal operations/implementation, and/or signal design.  In this role, you’ll have the support and guidance needed to help expand TC2’s services, while you help guide and support existing staff on key projects and plans. You’ll lead projects or tasks associated with corridor studies, multimodal transportation plans, traffic studies, intersection control evaluations, safety, and other transportation related functions.  We’re seeking an individual interested in contributing to the growth of the company by developing new tools, resources, and processes while collaborating with clients, staff, and the public.  We truly believe that as we grow, you grow!     • Undergraduate or graduate degree in related engineering or technical field 
    • PE certification (or the ability to obtain within 12-months of employment) a plus
    • RSP and PTOE certifications are a plus
    • Ability to lead traffic engineering tasks and manage projects or studies
    • Strong analytical skills and proven technical writing ability
    • Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills a huge bonus 😉 
    • Proficiency in traffic engineering software (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, Corsim, CUBE)
    • Experience with safety evaluations and processes 
    • AutoCAD or MicroStation design capabilities a plus (but not at all necessary)

  • Traffic Engineer, Lead Traffic Engineer, Transportation Strategist

    Our team is looking for an entry level or early career traffic engineer or transportation strategist to join our team and support company growth with a variety of work assignments.  Projects will vary from traffic and transportation studies for developments or subareas, corridor studies, parking studies, safety analyses, multimodal system designs, urban mobility considerations and other specialized mobility analysis work.  This individual will contribute at varying levels of the company, wearing multiple hats, with project work in communities that is truly impactful and meaningful.  We are a “collaborative” aligning our individual experiences and skills to achieve project success for our clients.     Desired Qualifications & Skills:

    • 2-8 years of work experience desired for this position
    • Varying educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply (i.e., traffic/transportation engineering, civil engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.)
    • Depending on experience level, PE certification (or the ability to obtain within 12-months of employment) and/or PTOE certification is a plus
    • Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and experience with any traffic engineering software is a plus (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, CUBE, TransCAD)
